Just moved in here this morning after our flight from Phoenix. Pictures had us believing it was a decent place to live. We were supposed to have another unit initially, but were given this one after we changed our 12 month to a 6 month lease. We were told that the carpets were cleaned as well as a fresh coat of paint.

First walk thru the door we were hit with a pungent and musty smell of pee. The toilet has what appeared to be ashes from a cigarette and pee stains around the rim, as pictured with this post. Might not really be ashes, but that's definitely piss.

Are we being too picky about calling for a lease cancellation, when the pictures posted on their website led us to think this was an otherwise decent place? I've read many posts that Wiedner Co. is very much a not so great rental here in Anchorage. Are we stuck?
