What’s one home decor trend you loved online but didn’t enjoy in real life?

I used to love that super minimal spacing in photos, but after I tried it in my own place, the room started feeling a little too empty and less cozy over time.

I’m curious if anyone else had a trend that looked really good online but felt different in everyday life.

What’s one small home decor change that made your space feel instantly better?

Not a full renovation, more of a basic upgrade, and honestly it ended up changing the whole vibe of the room. Could be the lighting, plus some plants, wall art, that rug situation, paint shade ,anything really.

I think these little details, sometimes they’re the ones that make the biggest difference.

What’s one home design mistake that looks good at first but becomes annoying later?

For me, it’s the open shelving in kitchens. It looks amazing in photos, but keeping it tidy and put together every day honestly feels exhausting. I’m curious what design choices some people here ended up regretting after living with them for a while.
