My maranta is finally getting new growth!

This was my very first maranta. She was split off a friends plant back in mid-May and WOW did I think she was a goner for awhile after first potting 😅 her leaves all curled in on themselves and stayed super drooped, as well as at least 3 leaves fully dying 😢 i did a little research, changed her to a slightly smaller/shallower nursery pot, chunkier soil mix, watered with distilled water, and added a little pebble tray underneath her. She finally opened all her leaves back up a couple weeks ago (one leaf is still a little curled on the edges) and now has new growth sprouting!!!! Eeeek! I’m so thrilled.

I’ve since purchased a second prayer plant because I’m just in love with them!! And I actually saw/heard the new plant move last night as she was raising her leaves 😍

My pothos is thriving!

I repotted my pothos for the first time in 6 years a few months ago. She was SUPER leggy, so I pruned her, wrapped some of the vines back into the soil in the new pot, and propagated some babies back into it. I fertilized her on June 1st and moved her to get more light near a south facing window.

Safe to say she’s THRIVING now! Since fertilizing her she’s had at least 15 new leaves and the growth is sprouting way closer together on the vines. What I assumed was a jade pothos might actually be a golden because all her new growth has variegation!! Safe to say she was not getting enough light. I’m so thrilled and proud of her! Hehe.
