Trying to understand a drawing...

The sign on the cake reads "seven days" referring to the holiday in Japan called Tanabata, which is traditionally celebrated on July 7th, based on the Gregorian calendar. The figure on the cake with the long ears is how Nanatsu represents her form in Wataten commentary (see the second picture). Does this mean an artist's creation may consume them?
