2026 MANX GRAND PRIX / CLASSIC TT DATE ANNOUNCEMENT!

The Manx Motor Cycle Club, working with the Department for Enterprise, are pleased to confirm the dates for the 2026 Manx Grand Prix / Classic TT.

The 2026 event will run from Sunday 16th August to Friday 28th August 2026.

MANX GRAND PRIX first practice will begin on Sunday 16th August, concluding with the final race day on Monday 24th August.

The Classic TT will take place from Wednesday 19th August through to Friday 28th August.

We look forward to welcoming fans, teams, and returning riders to the Isle of Man and to supporting a fresh wave of newcomers as they begin their journey toward the TT.

EDITORS NOTES

* The Classic TT will once again run alongside the Manx Grand Prix, which will begin on Sunday 16th August and conclude on Monday 24th August. Details of the 2026 Manx Grand Prix can be found at manxgrandprix.co.uk

* As the Bank Holiday Monday (31st August) falls late in the calendar, the Island’s schools are scheduled to return immediately after - therefore the Manx Grand Prix Race Days will not be centered around the Bank Holiday weekend.

* A detailed schedule for the Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT will be issued by the Race Organiser in due course subject to approval under the Road Closure Act 2016.

SCHEDULE UPDATE

The Clerk of the Course has issued a revised schedule for Saturday 6 June, including the rescheduled Milwaukee Senior TT.

Following an improvement in the forecast for Saturday, and with heavy showers and low cloud now expected on Sunday, the Clerk of the Course has confirmed that the contingency period previously identified for Sunday will not be utilised.

As a result, and due to the remaining weather windows available within the event schedule, the RL360 Superstock TT Race 2 has been cancelled and will not take place at the 2026 Isle of Man TT Races.

The Mountain Road is scheduled to close at 09:00, with all roads on the TT Mountain Course closing at 10:00.

>The Isle of Man TT Races has confirmed a revised race programme for the remainder of the 2026 event, designed to make best use of the available weather windows and provide the strongest opportunity to complete the remaining race schedule as safely as possible.

>With further unsettled weather forecast over the coming days, the revised programme has been structured to prioritise the delivery of the Milwaukee Senior TT while also providing the best possible opportunity to complete as much of the remaining race programme as conditions allow.

>The revised schedule follows detailed consideration of forecast conditions, competitor mileage, operational readiness, road closure requirements and the safe delivery of racing across the Mountain Course.

>While the likelihood of racing taking place on Thursday is currently considered low, Race Control has retained a provisional programme for the day to ensure that any opportunity presented by an improvement in conditions can be utilised. A final decision regarding Thursday's activity will be taken on Thursday morning following further consultation between the Clerk of the Course and the Isle of Man Met Office.

>Should conditions allow, Thursday's programme provides an opportunity to complete RL360 Superstock TT Race 1. However, given the limited time available within the remaining schedule, the race cannot be carried forward beyond Thursday. Should weather or course conditions prevent the race from taking place, it will be cancelled for 2026. In that event - as is standard procedure - the prize fund will be distributed equally amongst all qualified competitors.

>Friday is scheduled to feature Monster Energy Supersport TT Race 2, Carole Nash Sportbike TT Race 1 and the Milwaukee Senior TT.

>Saturday will see the Carole Nash Sportbike TT Race 2 and RL360 Superstock TT Race 2  scheduled to take place. Should Saturday's programme be affected by weather or course conditions, both races will move to Sunday.

>Gary Thompson MBE BEM, Clerk of the Course, added:

>"Following the disruption we have experienced throughout the event, we have continued to review every available option to maximise the opportunities for racing, while ensuring the delivery of the race programme to the safest possible conditions remains our primary consideration.

>"The revised programme has been developed to give us the strongest possible opportunity to complete the remaining races, while also protecting the delivery of the Senior TT as the headline race of the event.

>"Although the latest forecast suggests the likelihood of racing on Thursday is currently low, we will continue to monitor conditions closely and make a final decision on Thursday morning following further consultation with the Met Office.

>"We recognise the disappointment that disruption causes for competitors, teams, marshals, residents and fans, and I would like to thank everyone for their patience, understanding and continued support throughout the event."
