Raf’s new myth has been delayed until August

If you haven’t seen the news on XHS or Twitter yet, PG customer service has confirmed to multiple CN players that Raf’s myth will be delayed until August. In their previous announcement, the myth was supposed to be unveiled in July.

What do you think of this change?

While I’m super excited and impatient for Raf’s myth, I’m totally fine (and honestly a bit relieved) that it won’t be released in such chaos: potentially no or toned down promotion, guilt-tripping and harassment from a certain fringe of the fandom toward Raf mains, trust gone from CN players who are his biggest fanbase… A lot of CN Raf mains had been asking for a report because they didn’t want him to be "sacrificed" or polluted by the current issues and hate at work in the fandom.

I really hope that PG can stabilize their situation, one way or another, before releasing him. Hopefully, the fandom will have quieted down and we can all enjoy Raf’s myth without having to deal with so much negativity.

Raf’s myth outfit theory and wishes

As the myth release draws nearer, I’ve seen more and more art pop up on XHS speculating about Raf’s outfit. If the rumor of a >!Chinese mythology themed myth turns out to be true, featuring a God of War Raf with a ponytail!<, then there’s a chance that we might get an outfit similar to what’s seen in a lot of C-Dramas: styled ancient armor, flowy hairstyle, intricate patterns (pics 1 to 3)… Think the male leads in Till the End the Moon or My Journey to You :3

Personally, I would love some bits of armor, but I hope the outfit also features lots of flowy fabric to keep Raf’s elegant, divine and somewhat ethereal aura. I don’t want a basic military general armor, if that makes sense? I hope they add a touch of mystique to it if he’s supposed to keep his godhood and remain a divine figure in the myth timeline.

Another interesting thing is the Kitty badge Feline Demeanor that was recently released in the Meowssical series (pic 4). Some CN players have theorized that it may be a hint regarding Raf’s outfit. Going from there, I wonder if Raf may get a pheasant feathers crown (翎子, lingzi*)* as a headwear accessory for him.
They were originally worn in the traditional Beijing opera, and used as an iconic visual element to distinguish martial characters, such as heroic generals, (handsome) legendary warriors and brilliant strategists. They’re associated with courage, valor, fearlessness, prowess and fighting to the death. Iconic figures like Lu Bu and Sun Wukong are often represented wearing them, so it would be very fitting for Raf to have a feathered headwear as well if he falls into this theme (pics 5 and 6). Recently, they were also worn by the male lead in Pursuit of Jade, and the actor actually got accused of looking too pretty for a general ahaha (pic 7)

💕 Hello Miss Bodyguards!

We’re very excited to officially (re)launch this community dedicated to 祁煜/Rafayel from the game Love and Deepspace (恋与深空). This is meant to be a safe and active place to freely discuss all things Rafayel on Reddit, as well as connect with other Raf mains and enthusiasts.

As you've probably noticed, the subreddit is still a work in progress. However, we wanted to set it up as soon as possible given the current state of the fandom, especially with the release of our Fishie's 4th myth just around the corner. Our love for Rafayel got us into this exciting project, but we’re both completely new to moderating and we’re still figuring things out as we go — so please forgive us for any mistakes!

Lastly, and most importantly, we truly hope that everyone who joins us can help us shape this place into something great, where we’ll all feel at home and free to gush over Rafayel together!

  1. Feel free to say hi in the comments — we always love to meet new Rafayel mains!
  2. Help us invite new members as we start promoting the subreddit in related fandom spaces (Twitter, Discord servers, subreddits, etc.)

PS: Starting from now on, r/RafayelMains will replace r/QiyuMains, a subreddit that we created before we could secure the moderating rights for this one. We hope that this subreddit name will make it easier for other Raf mains to find the community, which is why we decided to move over.

Scarlet Invitation rerun!!

So it seems like Infold is just lying extra low right now and sneaking reruns/free cards without much announcement. I honestly don’t mind that at all, because we all know any new post from them at the moment will be flooded with negativity and the usual discourse from we know who.

I’m personally super excited for this rerun!! It’s the last card I need to complete my Raf 4* collection. I heard the story is really good, and this artwork is so beautiful. Raf looks incredible in this suit (FACE OF THE GAME), the color palette, the intimacy, the expensive car, the smudged lipstick, it’s just swoon-worthy 🫠

I know this is a tough time for Raf mains with a lot of reruns happening before his myth (Private Trip at the end of the multi, WiW, now this), and Promise reruns are notoriously only for collection purpose, but if you plan to get this card, I hope you have fun enjoying the story! And for the Raf mains who don’t plan to buy, hang in there because his myth is coming soon!!
