I’ve been tasked with inventorying the family arsenal left behind by my father. 74 (mostly) rifles. Day 24: similar to yesterday’s Martini Henry, but clearly manufactured by Birmingham Small Arms for the Commonwealth of Australia. Still a lot of room for education on this one. Let’s see what yall got.

Day 23: Some sort of lever breech, probably British or similar judging by where it was in the collection. We could use some help on this one, folks!

Here is day 22: As best as I can tell we are looking at a Hollis and Sons Mark III Snider. (Hollis and Sons on the lock plate, flat hammer indicating Mark III, arrow piercing an “S” by the breach for Sniders patent.) But what I cannot tell is if we are looking at a Mark III carbine or not. Anyone able to clear that up?
