Apple Music with Bit Perfect via UAPP

Today I just found about an interesting article here:
https://www.theindianaudiophileforum.com/c/announcements-new-launches/apple-music-with-bit-perfect-playback-finally-possible-on-android-smartphones-via-usb-audio-player-pro
and since I have UAPP installed in my Samsung S22, I tested this method and FINALLY... this is it!! The bit perfect audio transfer from Apple Music to DAC without any doubt since it is from UAPP that we already know their magnificent USB-driver capability.

Apparently this update was just introduced by UAPP update following the Android OS capability to capture audio and use their own USB driver. They call this feature as System audio which can be tested for free, and then purchase it via in-app purchase to remove the limitation. So if you have UAPP, try it and feel the difference.

There are some notes from me about this:

  • DAC with volume keys can fully control the volume.
  • In Samsung with OneUI, capture all screen is needed instead of single app to avoid constant DAC disconnect. There is an option called Multi Sound in Sound Assistant which can be used to make sound from Apple Music always on and in constant volume even when running in the background.
  • There is a short delay 1-3 seconds.
  • Apple Music is confirmed to work, same with other apps like Tidal and Qobuz. Spotify need to use web browser, and finally for youtube or any video, this method is currently not possible since there are too many delays.
  • Since there will be capturing icon on top of screen, we may ask: Is it actually bit perfect transfer? Well I guess it is the best catch that we have now for Android.
  • One more: this menu is not available in older android phone (I have tested in xperia compact running android 9)

If anyone have already use it and have some tips or opinions, please let me (and everybody) know.

Cheers!
