How to buy tokens launched from other chains on Solana?

I've noticed that projects from other chains are using platforms like Sunrise to launch their tokens on Solana. I’m trying to understand how to buy these non-Solana tokens that now trade here.

These tokens are usually available on multiple dApps. For example, I saw that Injective was recently made available on Solana. I can buy it on Jupiter, Raydium, Backpack, Sunrise, and a few more platforms. It’s getting a bit confusing as I don't know which one should I pick.

Here's what I am trying to figure out:

  • Are these wrapped/bridged versions?
  • If I buy Injective on Solana, does it matter? Is it the same token everywhere as long as the mint matches?

Also, which of those platforms would you trust to buy tokens like these? I don't want to grab a random ticker and end up with a fake token.

I'm pairing a Keystone device with a browser wallet. How are you running it?

Most of my SOL sits on a Keystone, and I barely touch it. But since I don't want the friction of pulling it up every time I make a small transaction, I keep some crypto balance in a separate hot wallet.

Right now I connect the hardware wallet through the extension, so keys stay offline, and I approve on the device. It is best for security, but the flow is a bit annoying. You would know if you hate scanning QR codes multiple times for every transaction. 😢

Because of this friction, I've caught myself skipping my hot wallet paired with Keystone for some trades. I think this defeats the security practice I bought it for.

I want to know what your wallet setup looks like if you are moving large amounts. Is everything behind a hardware wallet, or do you keep a small balance in hot wallets and accept the security risk?

Also, which browser wallet extensions have worked well with Keystone? I'm using Jupiter right now, and it's working fine. But I've only tried two hot wallets so far.

What leverage do you actually use on Solana perps?

Every time I see a crypto liquidation screenshot on socials, the comments say the person used too much leverage. But how to decide that considering every trade is different.

I've been trading perps on Jupiter at 3x to 5x and even that gets uncomfortable during a sudden price move.

For people who've been doing this for longer:

- What leverage do you actually use on a typical trade?
- Do you size by dollar amount or by what you're willing to lose?
- Where do stops go, and do you move them once you're up?

I'm also unsure about collateral. Keeping SOL as collateral on a long feels like being exposed twice, but maybe I'm thinking about that wrong.

Does Jupiter Wallet Extension support Keystone?

I've been using Jupiter as my main wallet for a while now. I mostly do swaps and DCA.

Now I plan to add an extra layer of security with a hardware wallet setup.

But before I pick one, I want to confirm which hardware wallets Jupiter supports.

I'd like to hear from someone who has used hardware wallets with the browser extension. What does the transaction flow look like with a hardware wallet?
