21 Personnel Split Zone (Oklahoma)
I like the extended/protected backside edge to help set up cutback space (obviously easier vs that light box in general)

What would you call this one?
Yankee is a great concept, but really functions best with playaction to influence both the will backer and alley player
Basic, but always love to see how people term things
Pre-snap look and post snap look nearly never match, even by NFL standards.
If he's running something base, he'll make it look different pre-snap. And, when he's running something exotic, it probably won't show pre-snap. Make different look the same, and same look different.
What would you call this concept?
And what would the reads be for the QB?
Everyone loves smash concept, and rightfully so. Some of those buzz teams can take away access though, while the CB drops to take away the corner. So, I like to solve that by reading the CB with the slot and going inside/out on the overhang when the CB has a vertical drop that eliminates the corner route

In terms of playing on-structure passing game, Joe Burrow is in a league of his own, currently
If you're a wide zone team, you know naked has to be a part of the package. And you need ways to iterate on the naked play.
Gotta remember the hurdle.
But more importantly - stress the defense laterally, then puncture them vertically.
2024 Titans weren't tons of fun to watch, but still a nice fit up here
Grab (or Bow), part of the Pivot family (or whatever terms you like, words are just words)
A quick note on differentiated wide zone and outside zone, since the terms get conflated so often
Rodgers' arm is like he's from a different species... but the kinetic chain essentials don't change
A few take aways from Joe Burrow
I had a commenter note on a wide zone video of mine that he didn't think you can run zone to the 3-tech because the center can't reach a 3, and asked me to find a clip where that works (amongst other comments he had). I found this clip about 15 seconds into my search when I just cued up zone runs from the 49ers.
To me, it was alien to think that someone would say you can't run zone strong (meaning to the 3-tech vs an over front). Has anyone else experienced someone with that opinion?
Anyone have a top skill? Broad, I know, but figured it might get us a couple nuggets in the comments
Great lower half mechanics from Ty Simpson
One of my favorite schemes
