Normal?

Normal?

I’m 36 and it’s my first time getting glasses and just want to know if this experience is normal. I’ll preface this with the fact it’s been 24 hours since I got my glasses and today is my first full day wearing them. I’ve obviously got a heavy prescription on my right eye. I took an exam locally at Stanton Optical and ordered a pair of Warby Parker glasses (cheaper and less pushy than in store) and they showed up yesterday. I feel like my near vision has greatly improved but the distance sometimes doesn’t come in and mid range (5-10ft) slowly comes in. When I’ve driven and mowed, everything feels like it’s out of focus and my eyes aren’t quick enough to adjust. My right eye (bad one) looks slightly out of focus on mid and long distance objects when I close my left. If I remove my glasses with that eye open and put them back on there is a drastic difference though.

Does this sound normal and I just need additional time to acclimate or does something sound off?

Internet Providers - Kingsport

Currently have Spectrum and our bill went up to about $100/mo. I called the retention line and they can only drop it $5/mo. Unfortunately I'm outside of the Brightridge service area. The Brightspeed mailers are incessant and almost make me not want to use them. Does anyone have experience with any other providers in the Kingsport area?

EDIT - I called them back to cancel and they offered $45/mo for my existing service which is 500gb. I already setup a tech install for Brightspeed (1gb for $60/mo) so I have some time to decide.

I’m happy with this

Scored a Niche Zero last week for a killer price. It arrived and the switch broke in transit but a new switch/PCB is already on the way ($51 shipped for anyone curious of the cost in the US). I have been using a K6 for about a year but it’s wild how big of a difference the NZ made.

I genuinely think I’m done with the big parts of my setup. Later this year I’ll add a PID and the SoC steam valve but otherwise I’m content. I make coffee for myself and sometimes for my wife and I have absolutely no interest in profiling with a Gagguino or Gaggimate. I stare at screens enough so I like having a little part of my day without them.

I’m selling my Leica IIIG. It was serviced a while back by Youxin. It’s been flawless and the speeds are accurate based on film usage. I don’t have a laser speed tester. Everything functions as it should. It has a bright viewfinder with no haze and the body is really, really clean with no dents, dings or scratches.

Looking to get $850 shipped and insured.
