Been using a MM for a few years (can’t remember why I changed) but this apheta3 vs the rega nd9 and nd7 is a revelation… bass seems tighter, more controlled and there’s more clarity around notes and instruments
Quite surprising (to me) but in a good way
I’d forgotten how much difference cartridges make… maybe I should have gone for an Aphelion2! (My wife disagrees and I don’t even need to ask her 😂)

Unfortunately lots of glass in my current room but sounds v good IMO. The retirement room is much bigger and minimal glass!!

Not 100% confident in my speaker choice … sonus faber maxima amator… but we’ll see next week when they arrive
PS… amps definitely make a difference! The gryphon has much more control/attack than my previous Krell/audio research pre-power combo
