September trip with 10-yo

Salut à tous!

American here, and I'll be traveling to Paris for a long weekend with my 10-yo this Sept.

It's been ~15 years since I was last there, and I was hoping to get some recommendations of neighborhoods to stay.

A few considerations:

- we're used to traveling, have navigated multiple public transit systems (including the métro), and have lived in NYC for a long time, so while I'd like easy métro access, I think we'll generally be fine getting around and won't get confused with transit. That said, it's a short trip for us, so I'd like to stay reasonably centrally.

- I'd generally like to be in an area with good cafes and restaurants and a nice hotel, but we won't be looking for super upscale dining or lodging or the nightlife after about 9pm lol.

- Je parle assez bien le français, mais je ne le parle plus courrament. Je n'ai pas besoin de trouver des cafés ou des hôtels où tous les gens peuvent me parler en anglais.

I'd really appreciate any thoughts people have on where in Paris to stay, so that I can narrow my hotel search!

Merci beaucoup!

Mediator?

Hi all -
Sadly, I need to find a mediator for a divorce; does anyone have someone in southern Westchester that they would recommend? I looked through previous posts and saw a lot of recommendations to go through a mediator, but no suggestions of which ones. Thank you.

I can see the lights from a bunch of emergency vehicles from across the river, it seems to be around the State Line Lookout - wondering if anyone knows what is happening.

Started a few minutes after 10, still ongoing, with a mix of police, fire/EMS (can't differentiate from here), and a big bright white light.
