I’ve got a porch on the side of my house that isn’t large enough for a table to fit under it mostly due to the fireplace bumping into it. I’d like to extend it by about 3 feet, certainly on width but perhaps length toward the back yard as well. The trouble is I don’t feel like ripping it down and putting a new roof on.

Is there any way to extend this porch and keep the roofing that’s already there? I plan on replacing the boards with new boards. The roof material is a rubber roof if that helps.
