Housing after quitting Interac

Hi Reddit!

I am planning on quitting Interac in November. I have not submitted my notice and don’t plan to for another month. Something I was curious about was my housing.

I got my apartment through the company itself. How long do I have my apartment after my last day of work? I will be leaving Japan after I quit, but I want to stay a few extra weeks to travel and explore before that. Will I have to be out of my apartment by my last day? Or do I have some time after?

Any help would be appreciated 🙏🏻

Feeling the loneliest I’ve ever felt in my life

This is something that I’ve been struggling with as of lately so I thought this would be a good place to rant.

I’ve been living in Japan for about 9 months now. I’m a very outgoing person, and I don’t really struggle with making friends (it’s a blessing and a curse bc I don’t shut up lol).

While I’ve been able to maintain somewhat of a social life here, I feel like I just haven’t been able to really connect with anyone. It’s that feeling of being surrounded by people yet feeling so lonely. I’ve only ever felt it a few times in my life, but in Japan I’ve been feeling it constantly.

I don’t even know how to explain why? I guess I’ve just been struggling to find my people. Not sure if this is a normal thing that happens to us foreigners out here.

Just thought I’d share and hopefully find some others who relate 🥲
