Did i mess up?
recently read this book, new to the sub, loved the ending, and thought the beginning was ok ish, but holy moly the revenge set up of the middle was drawn out and sluggish - yes it’s my opinion - buuuuut i was also reading the wordsworth classics version and realise now that the language in that is unabridged 1846 translation not the 1996 translation that’s in the penguin classics version. Should I leave it a few years and try reading the other translation or am I just a dumb dumb?
