I was watching The 1911 Syndicate (more like the HK Syndicate)'s new video tonight where they brought out some super rare weapons out of HK Germany's safe. One of them was the HK3.

It's chambered in .380. Double action only. No external safety. Designed in the 1980s.

Super cool gun and even slimmer than the CC9. Internal hammer fired and holds 7 rounds in a single stack magazine similar to the Walther PPK. Takedown lever is behind the trigger to keep overall width down. HK was really ahead of their time for a with this gun I think (as usual). You can definitely see the inspiration for the USP compact slide and mag release and curved mag plate on this gun. It's clear that the same engineering teams worked on both! Check out the pics below.
