What do you guys make of this? last page: page 3

Am I the only one who feels like we should actually make changes within the Deaf community, and that rape is a crime that often creates feelings of shame, displacement, grief, suicidality, and like nothing will ever be restored? What should we do?

What do you guys make of this? con't.

I guess I can't post the entire letter from Willow Ward to Dr. Harvey Corson in one place.

What do you guys make of this? I was bullied (largely by the woman with the pseudonyms Lynn Ford, Brittany Boo, and Jessica Braden) and in 2024 when I posted this to Facebook, and lost every last Deaf friend I still had.

Ryan "Chimp" was the first boy who sexually assaulted me at MSSD. I was a freshman and he was my manager; for my after-school activity after being stage manager for the Fall Theatre Showcase, I chose to be on the crew for The Wiz, and Ryan "Chimp" had me selling concessions. I had to continue to sell concessions knowing that my clitoris, areola, and nipple were no longer safe and mine. They felt like outsiders. They'd been brutally rubbed by one of the most desirable boys at MSSD. This was mere months after Mom sent this letter.

He got right in my face with the meanest look on his, snarled, "You think anyone wants you, NERD? You think anyone could ever want you, you stupid ugly NERD?" and immediately plunged his long fingers down my bra, rubbed my nipple and squeezed my breast, then quickly stuffed his hand up into my skirt and very roughly rubbed my clitoris with his thumb. He was very erect; Wilton McMillan had disappeared to reload his dolly/wagon with pop cans, T-shirts, and snacks for the concession stand.

That night I learned:

*girls have to let ugly boys touch us because we don't get any warning

*boys tell girls they want to have sex with that they're ugly so they can exploit our fear as the actual sexual turn-on

*Wilton McMillan trusted Ryan "Chimp," so telling Wilton I was sexually assaulted was bad
