EV without novated leasing

Due the nature of my work, I will be changing employers every 6 months and it seems like my employer does not support novated leasing.

Is it still worth to purchase an EV upfront with cash?

AGPT support

To the Prospective AGPT registrars of 2027.

When do we have to become a racgp member. Also I heard there was CPD support as a member, can this be used to meet my 2026 CPD requirements?

Separate query, if if i meet the recognition of prior learning, training time is shortened by 12 months, does this mean if we pass all exams etc, we could potentially get RACGP fellowship in 24 months?

AGPT preferences rubric

I am currently looking at the AGPT preferences rubric and seeing that most of the the rural training spots seem to be more oversubscribed than the metro? I was wondering why this is so. I would think that mostly those subjected to the 10 year moratorium would be preferencing these regions?. If that's the case I am surprised there are that many applicants subjected to this. several regions have twice or in fact more than twice of the number to applicants : training spots available.

Personally should i not be too focused on this census in terms of wanting to adjust/change my preferences and rankings?

Thanks for your input.

Regional GP placements

How do I know which placements have duties like holding an on-call phone etc. I have heard of regional placements where GP registrars need to hold an on-call phone and get called for random presentations. Is this only in district hospital settings or also GP clinic settings?

I am actively trying to avoid duties like this.

Heard of applicants getting interviews/trainee positions for Rad Onc but have not done any unaccredited reg years in rad onc. Is this still common or does the college generally require applicants to have done a rad onc regging before being considered for trainee positions.

From what i can see on the website applicants are mostly scored on your CV + Interview.

Thanks for your insights.

Is there a body to keep AHPRA accountable for their actions and to advocate for practitioners? This is could be for issues ranging from registration fees, to scrutinising programs like fast tracked specialist pathways and fellowship support programs and looking into an Australian prioritisation bill ?
