I'm not Indian but I am ethnically Sri Lankan and obviously people are gonna clock that as Indian. I'm also American and my friends and I are planning to visit Ireland this year. Additional context, I'm a woman and my friends are white (both men and women) and it's likely I'll be traveling with them at all times

Several times now when I've mentioned going to Ireland people have warned me about racism, including a friend from the UK. Should I be mentally prepared for racism, or would a 1 week visit not be an issue?
