2012 CX9 sport 82k mi. Keep or?
Weighing out options. As the title states I have a 2012 CX9 with 82k miles. I purchased it in 2013, it had 22k on it at the time and not accident history that I could find.
The only accident was me hitting a 3ft pole — cosmetic damage only and I did have it repaired right away.
I love that the vehicle is paid off but it’s starting to do things that are alarming.
Basically it lurches, kind of jumps forward when idling at a light in traffic. I’ve had it looked at by two local shops but they couldn’t find an issue. I just feel like a bunch of super expensive repairs are right around the corner. I’ve had all the recalls sorted out but if I’m not mistaken there are other known issues with this year that are expensive and not going to be covered. I’m in my late 50s and have only one kiddo still living here so I don’t NEED a 3 row vehicle like I once did…but I do love having no car payment and not having a vehicle with a bunch of things I’d need subscriptions for. I can’t tell if I’m just having the new car itch or if my concerns are well founded.
What would you do? Keep it and hope it doesn’t hit me with a 10k repair bill or sell before that happens and throw up every month when I have to make a car payment? What would you do and if you’d elaborate as to why, I’d appreciate it. Thanks in advance for your advice/opinion.
