Since I’ve come across conflicting information, I’m asking the question here:

I want to replace my existing passive site (which has the SMS Provider installed) with a new passive site.

Question 1)
When uninstalling the passive site, is the SMS Provider role automatically uninstalled as well?

Question 2)
When installing the new passive site, is the SMS Provider role automatically installed as well?

As I understand it: for Question 1, the answer is no—I have to uninstall the role manually; and for Question 2, the answer is also no—I have to manually install the role afterwards.

Can anyone confirm this (based on personal experience)?
