Lost Weekend (Reprise) Shouldn’t Be the Last Track?

I’ve seen some comments about how they didn’t like that the last track, Lost Weekend (Reprise), was chosen to end the album. I’ve seen criticism that the song itself ended too abruptly, that Phoebe should have chosen another “better” song to end it with. And sure, a lot of these guys are online randos, but I feel like they’re missing the point?

It’s very obvious that the reason why the song (and album itself) ended abruptly was because death itself is abrupt. It’s unsatisfying. I love that song, and think it’s the perfect conclusion to a beautiful album.

Of course, art is subjective. Like what you like; you’re allowed to dislike something and I’m not trying to take that away from anyone. But I think people dismissing it because it was “too abrupt” is crazy lol.

Anyways, my dad died in early August, and this album came out a week later. So maybe I’m extra sensitive right now because of that. (I haven’t even been able to listen to the album all the way through because I keep sobbing. Maybe one day.)

Why did mama move her three kittens?

Hi all, a mama cat showed up at our home and had 3 kittens with her. They hid under our porch most of the time. I started feeding them for a few days but randomly they stopped showing up, and I noticed after I fed mama, she jumped the fence into the neighbor’s yard. I suspect that’s where she might have moved her babies too. Is there any reason why she might have done this, if I was feeding them all?

(Regarding TNR, of course I’m actively trying to do it to as many kitties as possible. I’m hoping to get her (and her kittens) soon!)

LSU Online MLIS Discord Link?

Hi all, I'm starting LSU's online MLIS program this fall and have seen other posts that mention something about there being a Discord. Would anyone be able to send me the link? I appreciate it! Thanks!

Weathers warming up and I want to take advantage of the great bike paths here in Dayton. What low-maintenance bikes are y’all riding to work? (Bonus points if a little scrappy. I work in the city and don’t wanna get bent out of shape if it eventually gets stolen lol)
