Was planning to use the A6 Gen 2 strictly as a transport... pleasant surprise!
Just picked up the DMP A6 Gen 2 recently. My original plan was to use it purely as a streamer and transport feeding my external DAC, but out of curiosity, I ran RCA interconnects straight from the A6 into my integrated amp to test its internal DAC.
Honestly, I am blown away. The internal DAC implementation is way better than I gave it credit for. It is clean, detailed, and dynamic. I was fully expecting to revert back to my external setup, but it sounds so good on its own that I am keeping it simple and running direct RCA out.
Anyone else end up skipping their outboard DAC after hearing the built in output on the A6 Gen 2?
