I could just post this in "mildly infuriating"

Stuck here the full day today, shop is working on the owner's monster (off-brand) motor home. Managed to locate calipers, brake hose, and some unicorn piss DOT 5.1 fluid, felt like a hero for half a second... even got an "atta boy" from the owner...

well, one of the calipers was junk out of the box, and that supplier can't get another until after the holiday weekend.... found another one in-stock from our third-call parts store, placed my order online.... and then slowly realized that they have already closed up early for the 4th.

I have a rock and a flashlight, and I know the part number I'm looking for once I gain entry into the building... I wonder if my owner wants this rig done badly enough to post bail...

Happy birthday, America!

Mopar backorder pricing

Trying to verify if backordered parts are priced based on the price stated on the order date, or at the time of shipment... Por ejemplar.... if I order it today at $10, and on 7/1 it goes up to $40, and they ship it 7/5, am I expected to pay $10 or $40 when it eventually arrives?

edit: Mopar DEALER here, my field rep can't give me a 100% verifiable answer, and I am looking to stock up on some oil before the next eventual price increase on 7/1

update: my rep finally confirmed that price at time of INVOICE is all that counts, so basically, order all you want, and GFYS if we decide to change the terms after you place the order... it's what I suspected, and is now confirmed. It kinda sucks, because I have enough supply to ride out the month, and don't want to spend $$$ unnecessarily this month, but locking in the lower price now would be worth the hit.

Mopar electrical connectors/pigtails

As of today, the wiring connector lookup for pigtails after MY 2009 has been removed to Service Library. Good luck finding ANYTHING without a degree in electrical engineering. Does anyone have any suggestions on alternatives or a simpler shortcut to find connectors without tracing individual circuit diagrams? As per usual, Mopar has discovered yet another way to make it more difficult to sell their trash products.
