I haven't rented in over 20 years, and then, have only rented from small-time landlords. I am about to sell my home and move to a company-owned apartment complex in a different state. I will have enough funds to pay a year's lease up front...is it possible to negotiate the monthly payment down a little if I am paying for the whole year up front?
Does anyone have any experience with this? If so, what was your process for negotiating the monthly rent?
