UPDATE on Ultrahuman

A month ago I wrote a post about my issues with my UH ring dying. Most of the people mentioned similar experiences, except for one (probably UH influencer) who came to argue.

After my post, UH reached out to me, apologized, and offered to either send a replacement, or for me to pay more to upgrade to Pro. Of course, with my history with them I wouldn't give them more money for such a poor product.

They sent a replacement. The tracking showed a delay, and their support said it was because they were doing "extensive quality control". I didn't mind as by then I was one month without ring and gave up on them.

The ring finally arrived yesterday. I charged it. A message pops up saying there is a new firmware.

Because my original issue was with the firmware, I ran the update to make sure now it was working, after the "extensive QC".

The ring never updated. It shows an endless loop: needs an update, I update, runs the update, goes back to showing old firmware and needs an update.

This this at least 15 times.

Their support? "Try a soft reset and try again". I did. Twice.

Now they submitted the case to a Senior Advice.

At this time, I'm just following up to show other consumers my experience.

It is sad how the company degraded in 2 years.

I hope UH works for others. It didn't for me.

Used to be a believer

I'm on my third year as user. As my battery got worse, I got ring replacement, which was fine. Electronics degrade over time. I got my third ring two months ago. Today it forced me to update my firmware, and the ring is now gone. Now way to connect to bluetooth. The ring is alive, but no longer connecting. I tried several of the reset ways that used to work in the past, nothing works. I talked to the "new" current support, AI bots. Im the beginning I was happy with UH suppport. Now, nonexistent. They said to leave the ring die, battery drain, as they call it. 4 days alone, no ring, no metrics. Then and only then the bot says they can process a replacement. Wjen I expressed my frustration, it sent me to talk to a "human representative", that never connected. So, i should leave the ring ro drain, and then wait weeks for a replacement because they can't figure out their software. So, it looks that after three years in which I LOVED the product, it's time to throw it in the garbage and move on. Sad, really sad end for a promising product. It was noce while it lasted A VERY disatisfied customer.
