Coming into town next month for a big anniversary celebration and want to dress approporiately. I'm assuming the basics - Nice shirt/trousers for men, dresses or skirts/pants + blouses for women...

any advice on the restaurant atmosphere and comfort level? i.e. flats are okay, but teva sandals are not?

We're assembling 3 dozen "birthday in a box" kits - including cake, frosting, decorations, balloons, etc- and would like to know if anyone has specific recommendations for local Non-Profits that would accept these?
