I have a wound on my shoulder and I don't know how to take care of it myself.

So I got this cut on my shoulder yesterday afternoon. Once I was finished panicking and I put a band aid on it, it basically almost stopped bleeding, except for just a few dots that bleed thru the band. Dw, the blade was thankfully clean and absolutely new. After using 3 band aids over the course of 24 hours, I finally got my hands on betadine (ointment form) and I put it only on the edge of my skin (not at all on the open wound) and put a gauge over it and used those white paper type tapes that they use (I forgot the name). I have a very important exam going on right now and I cannot go to a doctor. I might be able to go to one tomorrow maybe but for now, I'm taking care of this myself. Please give me any advice you can. I'm pretty shaken up as this was sudden (please do not ask how I got it, I'd prefer not to say). Also I wanna make clear that I will not replace a doctor's consultation with a suggestion, so dw. I am going to a doctor soon.
