Great experience

Hi guys, on Saturday I traveled business class from Toronto to Montreal on via rail. Honestly, the highlight of the trip was meeting Suzanne, the train attendant who was so bubbly and chatty and sweet. I’d been having an awful day after missing my flight in the morning, and she honestly made the whole experience so much better. She told me she had adult kids and she had been a flight attendant for years. She was taking photos of the sunset through the window so she could watercolour paint the scene, later. Anyway, I hope this somehow gets back to her. Suzanne, thank you for the kindness. I really needed it on Saturday. Thank you, via rail!

I did it 🥹

Hey guys so yesterday I bailed on my flight home. I was in a total panic at the airport and couldn’t do it. I felt like I was walking myself in my own coffin. I left the airport in tears and got on the train and went to another city.

Today, I got on a 2.5 hour flight and flew home. I was and still am so so proud of myself. Yesterday was a terrible day. I was so mean to myself mentally and was exhausted and humiliated and beaten down. Today, I turned it all around by getting on that flight today.

I’m here to tell you to GET ON THAT FLIGHT!!! Even if you bail, go back the next day and DO IT!!! You’ll be okay, I promise you!!! I was, and you will be too!

I couldn’t do it

Hey guys. I took two flights last week and got to my destination ok. Today I was supposed to have both flights home, and I couldn’t get on the first flight. I’m now taking the train and will be significantly late getting home. I am so sad and disappointed with myself. I want to be normal so badly. The worst part is I will probably still have to take a short flight tomorrow. I just couldn’t do it today. I am such a failure. I’ve flown to Australia before, for reference. I have a meeting on Monday with a phobia of flying counsellor and I hope that helps. This is so embarrassing. I’m telling everyone I missed my flight due to my inattention. Please someone help me feel better

Flight tomorrow

Hey guys, first time posting in here. I have two flights tomorrow, both about 1 hour and 30 mins. The second flight is Halifax to Toronto and I’m beside myself with anxiety because they’re calling for heavy thunder and lightning all day tomorrow in Toronto. I’m petrified. right now, the anxiety is a 9/10. I am so scared of being scared, and something bad happening. I’ve never landed while there’s thunder before. Can anyone advise what this is like? Will the flight be canceled or delayed? I’m thinking of changing my flight from Halifax - Ottawa or Montreal, and training from there. But that would be a bit humiliating, as I’m traveling with a coworker who doesn’t know about my paralyzing fear of flying. Any advice is welcomed, thanks
