Chinese Juniper Transformation

This tree is exhibited at Chi Lin Nunnery, Hong Kong.
Sadly this is not my tree, but I did have the chance to work on it several times. Probably one of my favourite and very stunning transformation. Lmk if you have any questions.

I am not too sure how many years this is, I know the 4th image is about 5 years ago.

Landscape Bonsai

A few photos of this from the past few years. If you are quite busy, I won’t recommend replicating, it needs constant maintenance or it looks quite messy.

Same tree over the years…

This tree was kept indoors for long periods of time, and as it is quite humid here, the wood decays quite quick. And as it is kept indoors often, many main branches died which is a shame.

In terms of restoring the deadwood, the main technique would be a mix of superglue, as some bits are chipped/loose/decaying as well as lime sulphur, hence the yellow hue in some of the images.

Although I helped work on this tree, it is unfortunately not mine 😔

Some Chinese Pots I Bought Recently

These are some of the pots that I got recently. They should all be old, apart from the first one, which is a replica (still very good quality). If you have any questions, or any input, please feel free to comment.

1st: Replica pot

2nd: Shiwan pot

3rd: Made by a famous guy, but more "mass produced"

4th: Same as 3rd

5th: Bought it not knowing if it is a real of fake, I showed my master, he said it could be real, if not, a very very high quality fake. If real, it would be very expensive. I compared it to a real one in person, and I have to admit, it looks almost the same 😂.

6th: A pot from Jingdezhen

7th: One of my favourite, the white colour makes it a lot more versatile

8th: I believe this one is from late qing. Also a famous workshop.

My previous post was about this book, and some of the chop at the back of that book can be seen on some of these pots. (Good book, would recommend)
