Hi, I am in my step 2 dedicated phase. My baseline nbme score is 250. I took it 10 days ago and today I took nbme 11 and got 245. I am absolutely devastated. I had nbme scores in 80s in my step 1 and I can’t wrap my head around what I’m doing wrong in step 2. I actually find step 2 nbmes harder. My brain shuts down and i am rereading the lines again and again to make sense of it. I lose questions to anchoring sometimes. I was aiming for a 270+ since I’m an img but my prep and mental state is breaking me down. I can’t help comparing it to my step 1 performance. Secondly, I can’t improve my scores, this was an issue in step 1 as well. Please someone tell me how do I change this. I am done with uworld. Should I do amboss? Should I do any other resource? How to deal with vagueness of nbmes? Should I solve more questions or do my uworld incorrects? My general method was to read the question stem backwards but it doesn’t help much in step 2. I review my nbmes but I don’t know if I’m doing it wrong. Any tips or resources that could help me improve and get on track.

Hi guys, Im done with 72% of my uworld. So I did 60% of each system first and then once I was done with all my systems (excluding the stoopid ones biostats, poisoning, general principals, miscellaneous) I revised 4 systems, then made random blocks of those 4 (CVS, GIT, CNS, Obs) I had 80%+ score in most of my blocks. However, I shifted back to system wise to complete my uworld because it’s still the learning phase and I felt system wise helps me better. I completed renal, pulmonary too (same scores) and now I’m about to start repro.

Should I continue doing so and complete my uworld like this? Do u guys suggest completing 100% uworld? Also, please any good resources for ethics, it’s killing me. When do you take your first nbme? Which nbme are we supposed to take? I want to do amboss before going to CMS and NBMEs. What do you guys suggest?
