How's the weather now in Ho Chi Minh?

Was thinking about stopping 2/3 days (starting tomorrow) in Ho Chi Minh before going to Hanoi but not sure about the weather? Is it raining much?

Please help with my 3-month SE Asia itinerary

Hi, I'm planning a 3-month solo trip around Southeast Asia (24 Sep – 15 Dec), visiting 6 countries.

The idea is to travel and explore, but also have some downtime. I don't want to change places every 2 days and spend the whole trip packing, but to keep it relatively slow-paced to enjoy each place.

Currenctly evaluating:

- Indonesia (24 Sep - 5 Oct): Ubud → Gili Air → Kuta Lombok

- Malaysia (5 - 15 Oct): Kuala Lumpur → Penang → Langkawi (still uncertain on Langkawi, depends on the weather)

- North Vietnam (15 Oct - 1 Nov): Hanoi → Ha Giang (Loop) or Sapa → Ninh Binh → Cat Ba / Lan Ha Bay

- Laos (1 - 15) Nov: Luang Prabang → Nong Khiaw → Vang Vieng

- Cambodia (15 Nov - 1 Dec): Siem Reap → Koh Rong (still undecided whether to "waste" all my time here or to change itinerary)

- Philippines (1 - 15 Dec): El Nido (heard moving around island means taking a lot of planes, so not sure if I want to change place a lot but worried to get bored if staying in only one place). Was considering also Siargao but read it's not the best period of the year?

Does it look balanced?
I am not sure on Philippines as travelling from Cambodia does not seem easy. Would you skip Philippines for something else (already been to Thailand but could reconsider going again).

Thanks

35M - Planning a 2-month solo trip from late September (SE Asia)

Hey everyone,

I (35M) am planning a solo trip starting late September for about two months in SE Asia (already been to Thailand).

I’m basically looking for a "slow life" vibe, a chance to disconnect, clear my head, and enjoy beautiful places without rushing. I don’t want to just lay on a beach for two months, but I also don't want the typical high-stress backpacker rush (like everyday in a different place and spend all the time in either plane or train). I mostly mean low hassle and ease of moving around.

I’ll be traveling with just a single backpack, so I need to plan my route in a smart way weather-wise to stay in warm climates and avoid heavy monsoons.

My must is Vietnam (not sure if only North or also South/Center). Also considering Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Cambodia, Laos (obviously not all of them) or even outside SE (Uzbekistan, South Korea, Fukuoka in Japan as I have been elsewhere).

What would be your recommendation on what to see (possibly in order to avoid bad weather) and have a good balance of things to do and see?

I'd like to stay under the 10k Euro.

Appreciate any help or route suggestions!
