Theft/Break Ins

I've seen some limited mentions here and there of theft or vehicle break ins, especially at trailhead parking lots. How much of a problem is this? Obviously people shouldn't do something dumb like leave valuables or money in plain sight in their vehicles but I'm just wondering how prevalent of a problem this is or how frequently it happens. Do people go to the extreme of leaving their doors unlocked with literally nothing in their vehicles to steal? Are windows getting broken left and right? Or is this just something that happens occasionally?

Rialto Alternative

We're visiting in early July (before the construction) but I'm looking into alternatives to Rialto if we show up and there is no available parking. What are people's suggestions for a replacement? I've read beach 4 is really good for tide pooling. Which beach do people recommend and why?

Too Much in one Day?

Can someone staying Forks do Rialto beach in the morning (arriving at 7:30 am in advance of low tide), the head south to Quinault, then back north to Hoh? Is that too much in a day? Don't want to be rushed, will be stopping at various points along the way, doing some hiking, etc. Let me know if that is too much in a single day. This would be on July 3rd.

More info: I know there are varying opinions about Hoh vs. Quinault. Does/should a person see both? Or are they similar in experience? Would you favor one over the other? Never to either before, going with 18 and 15 year old and wife.

Drive Recommendation

On our drive from the Port Townsend Ferry Terminal to Forks, is it worth the slightly longer drive to take 112 just west of Port Angeles to 113 south to Sappho to hook back up with 101? Or should I just drive 101 all the way through? We'll be coming back to Port Angeles after Forks so we'll still have the chance to drive 101 past Lake Crescent and the other points of interest along 101. Just wondering if I should drive 101 both directions or if there is stuff worth seeing along 112 and 113 along the coast? From Google Street View it doesn't look like you see much of the coast but thought I'd ask. Let me know your thoughts.
