Battle for Middle-Earth Steam Deck - Bottles No Longer Required
New to this sub, so I apologize if this has already been discovered but I haven't seen it posted on any of the tutorials and also for the poor quality photo 🤣
I was having difficulty getting Bottles working consistently.
I also ran into a problem with both Bottles and running it off Steam where the launcher was installed but it would only load from the .lnk
I did some digging into the file structure and found the desktop folder (Usually found in Steam/Steamapps/compadata/(the id assigned to it by Protontricks)/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/desktop)
I changed the target I created in Steam from the launcher.exe to the .lnk
The launcher loaded successfully, I was able to install all 3 games and they are currently running in both Desktop and Gaming mode.
Hope this helps anyone trying to run the games and was running into some of the same difficulties I was running into.
