Buckshot gravel race in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.

Rain, sunshine, snow, angry dogs, mud, hike-a-bike, swoopy pavement descents down the side of massive plateaus, you name it, this had it. What a beautiful experience. Now I'm going to sleep for the next three days.

Bike setup was my Lauf Seigla, 2.2 Dubnitals on Light Bicycle WG44 wheels, Eagle XO Transmission 10-52 * 40. Custom framebag, Ortlieb seat pack. Carried a bivvy and tarp for (very brief) sleep, as well as a dry change of all my kit, plus a down jacket and rain jacket.

WIP: Batman statuette repaint

I recently found this statuette that came with a Batman video game preorder bundle, and decided it would be cool to repaint it. I'm going to redo and sculpt the base for a cold, wet asphalt look. Kind of feeling the energy of the Matt Reeves film on this one. I really wanted to focus on the differences in weight and density of the suit compared to the gauntlets, boots and cowl/cape.

It's been much more fun than just "spray black all over guy in black suit," most of the colour is actually very muted desaturated blue, gray, turquoise and even some yellow. There's honestly hardly any black paint on the model other than the primer and first layer of base paint for the volumetric lighting pass to stick to.

Rain forecast for 400km brevet - clothing advice?

I'm prepping for a 400 this weekend and unexpectedly cold/rainy conditions are in the forecast. I'm debating between carrying rain pants, and carrying a second set of long tights to change into mid-course if the opportunity arises.

My concerns with the pants are breathability being poorer, leading to chills from sweating, and also saddle discomfort due to the extra layer.

If you were me (and keeping weight/packed items to a minimum!) how would you proceed?
