Zine with artwork inspired by Underoath's album "Lost in the Sound of Separation"

Hoping to scan this one, too, I think it will look cool with some distortion.

I've hesitated sharing what my partner calls my "ghostie comics" because they are similar to a popular Instagram account (Sad Ghost Club).

I don't want anyone to think I'm trying to rip off that creator, but making these comics helps me process a lot of feelings, and they make me happy... And I want to share that 🙂

Sometimes, when I'm feeling overwhelmed, or I don't know what I want to eat (I struggle with food often), I tell my partner I want to be a ghost, because then I wouldn't have to feel or feed my body. And that's the inspiration for my ghosties. So I hope someone else sees this and enjoys it!

P.S. this is also my first time digitally drawing + printing a zine, I still have some things to figure out!

I made this zine on reflection of the upcoming American holiday.

There are so many people who are good, and who want to help; and those people are not in power. Maybe that's by design - these types of people don't want power.

Meanwhile, so many people in powerful positions have strict opinions on what it means to be an American, and if you don't fall in that view you're met with violence.

I hope that this country can change one day.
