European Christmas Markets

I live in the Netherlands and love Christmas markets. We visited almost all the large cities and some smaller towns in Germany for their Christmas markets already, and some in France, Belgium and the UK (London). I'm looking for the best Christmas vibes in the rest of Europe now. I like it when the stalls are all unique, not just decorated market stalls, Christmas music and large enough but preferably not too crowded. We'd be visiting in the first half of December and need to be able to fly from the Netherlands. I'd love to hear where you've been and why it was so great, what stood out, how big it was, was there just one market or several in the same city, etc. and practical information is also very welcome. Thanks!

Milos flight question

We're going to Milos mid June. We're taking back a flight at 13:30 from Milos in the third week of June, to Athens. We have a 3,5 hour layover there before our (Schengen) flight back home. They're booked separately with different airlines and we'll have checked in luggage. (that we know we need to re-check in)

Taking the ferry back to Athens isn't an option time-wise.

Now I've read that sometimes luggage gets left behind on Milos if the small plane is too full. And brought later by another plane or ferry. My question is; what happens next?

  1. Do we know this is happening before we board the flight, or find out after?

  2. What happens with the luggage from that moment? Is the airline only obligated to bring it to Athens, or to our home country since we've probably left Athens by the time it arrives?

  3. Is there anything we need to do if this happens? Or should we stay in Athens (waste our connecting flight) and book a new flight the next day? How long does it usually take for the luggage to arrive?

  4. What are the chances of this happening at all? (3rd week of June)

Any other useful information or tips are also welcome. Thanks!
