Hello all - I recently got my tire replaced and didn’t realize the valve stem was different until I got back. The threading has been difficult for my floor pump to grab, and now my floor pump is having trouble with the other two tires as well (normal valve stems on each). It no longer works at all on the threaded stem, so I can’t ride my beloved trike until I get this situation in hand.

I worry that grabbing threaded metal rather than rubber is ruining the plastic connector device on my pump.

Do any of y’all have this kind of nothing-but-threads valve stem? If so, what are its advantages? Regardless, how do you fill your tires?

My dealer is 90 minutes away so this would be a big help. I feel like there’s something I am missing…?
