Mature tree care help

Hello fig people

I bought home in our family that comes with a massive fig tree which was grown from seed by my husbands great great grandmother. I have no idea how to prune or care for it the way it needs.

I’ve been searching online but most tips are geared towards growing, not maintenance on a mature tree. Hoping some of you have some tips 😊 last year, it was COVERED in June bugs and the tree smelled so bad because we didn’t keep up with it. I’m new to gardening and never had a fruit tree before
