First multi-day backpacking trip: is it ok to only bring an inflatable sleeping pad with no back-up closed-cell foam pad?

I'm looking for advice. I'm doing a 3 night section hike on the AT coming up. I have a Nemo Eclipse pad that I have used once. i have a small freestanding tent and own a footprint but I wasn't planning to take it on this trip. I also won't have a back-up sleeping pad if something happens to my Eclipse. Is this a bad idea? What would you do?

I camped solo for the first time last night! Did you find that sleep gets better as you get use to it?

I am a day hiker who wants to get into backpacking. I tried the camping side of things last night. My car was a short walk from camp and not far from my house. Overall it was a fine experience. I was really grateful to the person here who posted a video about animal sounds you hear while camping and to other people here who recommended bringing ear plugs for sleeping. That really helped.

I had a hard time getting really comfortable and woke up a few times throughout the night. I don't feel well rested this morning. Is this something that improved for you the more you camped, or is it just part of it?

And another question: if you have a one person tent, do you also find you have a hard time changing clothes inside the tent and organizing your stuff in the tent?
