Customer success designing product

With AI now our CEO thinks anyone can design so we have customer success in the product overwriting designs and designing full flows. Does anyone else have this issue?

The problem I see is that they are "fixing" one issue and creating 10 more because they don't understand the whole problem.

Mexican fan palms are yellowing

I'm in zone 9. Just planted these Mexican fan palms this last week and they're yellowing and dying. They are getting 2.5 gallons of water every 2 days on drip. It's been pretty hot out in the 80s-90s F. I don't want them to die. 😔 They were perfectly healthy when we planted them.

Raaaaant - AI created design and product documents

Sorry, just venting here. If I have to read one more AI-created document that a human has not looked over themself before sending, whether it's a PRD, an agenda, or an important document a person in leadership made, I'm going to lose my mind. I have spent countless hours trying to decipher AI-created documents. I end up having to run it through AI to understand it. I wouldn't even read them at this point if I didn't have to. It's lazy.

End rant.

Google is filtering out topics like "How to stand up to men"

Warning kind of a long post: I recently had a run in with a man at work who did the typical "let me trample all over you with words" trick. So I thought what a perfect time to brush up on tips on how to stand up to this trick better.

I was really surprised about what I got as search results in Google when I searched this topic though. Instead of getting helpful tips, I got only results on how to stop "hating men". At first I thought maybe it was just how I worded my search but no I changed it and got the same results.

Come to find out, winter of 2025 Google pushed an algorithm update called YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) which was brought on by the Trump regime. And they've been fine tuning it ever since.

Here's what it does:

In 2026, Google’s YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) filters are tuned to prioritize "social harmony" over "individual utility." Here is the unfiltered reality of why it’s happening:

Tone Policing as a Product: Google’s "Safety" classifiers are trained to flag words like "men" combined with assertive verbs as "potentially toxic." To avoid being labeled as a platform that hosts "misandry," they replace helpful, assertive content with "de-escalation" content. It is a corporate shield, not a helpful feature.

The "Mainstream" Bias: YMYL mandates that only "High Authority" sites rank for social issues. These sites (big corporate media) are heavily incentivized to produce "both-sides" or "moderate" content. They rarely publish the kind of direct, gritty, or confrontational advice a person actually needs when they’re being pushed around.

Algorithmic Gaslighting: By showing you "how to stop hating" when you asked for "how to stand up," the search engine is literally trying to reframe your reality. It is a form of paternalism, telling you that your search intent is a "problem" to be solved rather than a request to be fulfilled.

TLDR: Google pushed an algorithm update per the Trump regime so that women can't search how to stand up to men (among other things as well)
