Who knows about bags? Does this look authentic?

I bought this bag at the Op shop today and when I got home and googled it, I was a bit suprised how much they sell for second hand. So now I'm wondering if this is authentic or not.

Disclaimer - I bought this because I like it and I fully intend to use it, it's a great colour to go with my different denim washes and it's big and comfortable to carry. I'm not asking because I want to sell...just curious if I got a bargain, but I'm totally OK with it being not authenic if that's the verdict.

For: it's 100% leather the stitching is very neat and even the metal hardware is definitely metal - very heavy, some light scratches but no the suraces are even, no peeling the tag inside has the name and 'made in Italy' and the lining is printed with the designer name

Against: The name isn't embossed on the bag anywhere only on the tag inside no code anywhere that I can see no name or pattern on any of the hardware

When was the last time you polished shoes?

I bought a pair of black high heeled knee length boots second hand this week ($26!!). They fit perfectly and are in overall great condition, but the leather was a bit dull in places. So yesterday when I was grocery shopping, I bought shoe polish and a brush because I didn't own either, and this morning I just polished them and now they are all nice and shiny again.

I'm trying to remember when I last polished shoes...I went to a private school and we used to have to shine our shoes "so you can see your face in them" (who's old enough to remember those lace-up Clarke's school shoes?, no sneakers for us back them unless it was sports day)...but after that things get a bit fuzzy 😂, I can't actually remember doing it as an adult...until now.

Is it still common and I'm out of the loop? or is it rare? Is leather treated differently now? I have some real leather ankle boots and they still look really shiny to me after a few years.

The Vinted free/low postage is over, it was fun while it lasted 😥

We got free postage for a while, then $3 then $4.50 and now I'm seeing $11. It was a fun ride while it lasted. I think we all knew that increased postage was coming, but I hoped it would last a little longer.

I've still got 10 things coming, but this is going to curb my buying significantly (which may not be a bad thing)

I've had a great ride so far, nothing was cancelled, all the clothes I bought were in great condition and I got some amazing bargains. Back to reality now though.

I'll still look and buy when I want something specific because I like the idea of buying second hand more than retail, but the $5-10 impulse buys are over now.

I just bought the Zara "death pants" who else has them?

I'm tall, and I've been on the lookout for a decent pair of satin pants that are long enough.

My search took me down the satin pants rabbit hole and I ended up intrigued buy these pants - wide & flowly ✅ non-cease ✅ long ✅ price ($56) ✅ potentially life threatening ❌ (I did feel guilty about laughing at a few of the videos...seriously though, don't run in long baggy pants)

Looked at a few reviews and decided I wanted them...I would have liked the brown but only medium size left in the lilac and black - so I went with black. Ordered on-line just now so I don't have them yet, but was interested to see if anyone here has them and what you think of them?

Folding & tucking - who uses some sort of elastic belt?

I like the look of shirts and loose tops when they are nicely tucked and folded and several of the ladies I follow on IG do it so well.

Some of them use an elastic belt under their clothes to tuck their tops into, similar to this: https://thebasicband.com/

I'm interested to know who uses them, do you like it and use it a lot? do they work as well as it looks like they do?

Anyone have a recommendation or ones to avoid?

Vinted - as anyone got their items from the UK yet?

I'm looking around on Vinted and there's a few things I am interested in. I'm on the .com.au site - but the things I'm looking at are all located in the UK.

In the last thread a few people mentioned their orders had been cancelled so I'm interested to hear if things are shipping and if anyone has received what they ordered yet?

Rhinestone or embellished jeans...yay or nay?

What does everyone think about rhinestoned jeans? Cute or tacky? Do you own any, plan to buy or wouldn't be caught dead in?

I'm a sucker for sequins and rhinestones. I already own 3 pairs (pictured) of embellished jeans and I'm trying to talk myself off the ledge of buying the new Decjuba ones.

If you love them, show me your faves

Tops tied around the waist or shoulders?

I keep seeing this in ads and IG posts, but is anyone actually doing it?

I get it when you've worn several layers and it ends up being warmer than exopected and you need to take something off then wearing it like this can be a valid option...but is anyone really leaving the house like this as a part of everyday "fashion"? I'm also seeing a lot of jumpers tied over the shoulders on top of trench coats and I feel like you'd have to constantly be re-tying/adjusting it which would drive me nuts.

Love it and you do it...or hate it?
