Apt Pupil
I am 40 minutes into Apt Pupil. This is not progressing the way I thought it would, and by now I should know better than to think I can predict what the King has in store 🤣
TODD, YOU ARE CRAZY‼️

I was not prepared for this... This movie was incredibly effective and almost unbearably uncomfortable. I was blown away.
I watched this with my buddy because he's obsessed with any horror movie that centers on kids shows, toys, etc. Personally, I do not care much for that sub-genre. I was expecting something fun and campy and silly.
There was NO fun to be had in watching this 😭🤣 The sole exception was the cute little nods to various kids shows (for example, the mailbox looks like Plank from Ed, Edd, and Eddy), but that was the only small offering of fun the director allowed us 😭
I spent almost the entire run time of this movie visibly grimacing, tensing every muscle in my body, and pulling the blanket up to my face. The way this movie breaks the fourth wall is so goddamn uncomfortable. I've never experienced anything else like it.
Also, the movie has a really beautiful message and I was not expecting that from this type of film. I also think that it's going to have a lot of rewatch value but I'm not sure if I can stomach another viewing 🤣
For the record, I don't think I would have liked this song much anyway, but any chance I could've has definitely been obliterated 🤣
I'm trying to get involved with Cleveland-based groups for lesbians and sapphic women. As far as I can tell, there's no subreddit dedicated to this group. Has anyone seen something similar? I found some similar things on Facebook but nothing here...
What's with all the fruit in this episode? There's a couple different scenes where we see Mac in his apartment surrounded by fruit. Does anyone know if there is any significance to this?
I have always adored Charlie and Mac's dynamic 🥰 They act just like siblings 🤣

There are several episodes that end without explaining how the heck the gang got out of that situation. Which plot lines do you wish they would mention or explain?
I would like to know what happened when:
*The gang comes face to face with a serial killer (in his apartment)
*All shit broke loose at Risk E Rats
Wow! That was phenomenal! In so many ways, this book is very different from what I've come to expect from Stephen King. The narrator was very perplexing, but in the best possible way. I thought it was very strange that he kept inserting his opinions about the characters when usually Kings narrators tend to be fairly neutral observers. It was also odd that he made it a point on several occasions to let the reader know that he's from our world. I was hoping that it would be revealed who he was before the end of the book, but maybe it's better this way because now I just can't stop myself from wondering who could have been telling that story...
Although this book doesn't contain the same level of scares or gore as what I have come to expect from King, it makes up for all of that tenfold atmosphere! And let me just say, Bronson Pinchot deserves an Oscar for his performance. I have never in my life been more engrossed and dazzled by the actor of an audiobook 🤩
I was genuinely surprised and more than satisfied with Thomas's story arc. Although, I must admit I'm a little distraught to learn that Stephen King hasn't (yet 🤞)written a sequel 😭
I just started listening to this today and I am absolutely blown away by Bronson Pinchot's performance. 😱 The way he reads Randall Flagg is one of the creepiest things I have ever heard! It seems like every time he speaks my jaw drops or I start grimacing 🤣 If you like audiobooks, I highly recommend giving it a listen 🥰
