The mulberry bite is still going strong through the spawn and heat.

The mulberry bite is still going strong through the spawn and heat.
One of my favorite times of the year is when the mulberries ripen. The Chicago River is lined with mulberry trees and loaded with big carp ready to take advantage of the falling fruits. I’ve upgraded from kayak to boat this season and couldn’t be happier. Only took pictures of two of the six carp landed but they were all big and powerful - really putting a bend in the 7wt and one taking me into the backing! Looking forward to the next month of this incredibly exciting fly fishing action.
