I made a deliberately small builder for personal music-memory websites

I’ve been thinking about how personal websites can hold a feeling instead of just information.

The spark was a small nostalgic music site: a photo, a few songs, and suddenly it felt like the neighbourhood barber shop I remember from India—the ceiling fan turning slowly, old Hindi songs on the radio, talcum powder in the air.

That led me to make [subdomain.wtf](https://subdomain.wtf/), a deliberately narrow builder for that kind of personal page. It gives you a simple visual, a song or playlist, and a shareable page without turning the process into a full site-building project.

It is intentionally not trying to replace a general-purpose CMS or website builder. I wanted to make it easy to preserve a small memory: childhood summers, road trips, family songs, a local place you miss.

I’d especially value feedback from people here on whether a focused, hosted tool like this still feels meaningfully “personal web”—and what would make it feel more like yours.
