I had an ultrasound yesterday due to a lump at 0100 region and pains. I was told I have dense tissue and the lump is the tissue and dismissed of all pain so they didn't scan around my nipple where the pain comes from. As well as its all hormonal after I repeatedly said I know what hormonal breast pain feels like and this is not it, it does not come and go with my cycle.

I'm trying to be rational, so realistically should I seek a second opinion? I have a family history of breast, and uterine cancers. Or is dense tissue truly painful and its just something I'll learn to live with?
