Anybody else think Blow build really good puzzle games with horrible attempts at a narrative?

Braid and The Witness are two of my favorites. And with each one, I tried hard to take the story/narrative seriously, and to pay close attention to it. Those efforts never paid off at all. I've just scratched the surface of the demo, and my brain has 100% tuned out from what these narrators are saying, after listening to a few sentences out of curiosity. I'll play the whole game and enjoy the puzzles, but I simply will not search for a deeper meaning this time. Does anybody else feel similarly?
