I was showering and imagined that there was a civil war where Texas became the "rebel" stronghold against the union. They nuked Atlanta, and the states decided that Texas was too naughty to remain. Oklahoma of course got the rest of the red river out to New Mexico. Louisiana got big, gets the Texan capitol and other major cities plus most of the coast. West Louisiana because of course, followed Colorado river to make the split. And New Mexico got their Eastern border dragged down to Mexico. Tejas remains, its the origin of the name Texas as I found out. It was either gonna be Caddoan, Tejas, or Llano but Tejas seemed to be enough of Texas as to not make ppl butthurt Texas was actualyl fully gone.
