i’m a market closer and we’ve had the “pull all priorities by 5pm” rule since last year, but it recently hit the rest of the store (gm) and everyone’s freaking out (reasonably so but it’s kinda funny cause it’s BEEN this way for us). i was wondering if anyone else here has that? and is it also ridiculous for you? because most of our team gets on at 4-4:30 or even 5 cause they’re greedy with hours. how are we supposed to manage everything like omg!!!!! my coworker who was supposed to be in coolers/freezers didn’t even get in until 5:30 yesterday (5 today) so i had to pull all of dry/dairy/produce/meat/deli/bakery’s prio’s. oh and also we’re severely understaffed. what is the logic here guys are they overloading us until we inevitably quit so we dont get unemployment

i’m newly 20 years old, afab, and i’ve had a pilonidal cyst for at least 3 years. it probably isn’t the one of the worst cases but it hasn’t gone away. i don’t even think i’ve gotten it drained, but when a doctor swabbed it, it was so so painful. i went on antibiotics, got topical cream for the rash around it, and bandaged it for months until it slightly healed. but for the past year(+?) it has reopened about once a month. its like a second period. it always starts leaking puss but sometimes it fully leaks a worrying amount of bright red blood that makes me think i’m on my period. it’s foul smelling if that’s any help. it’s not always painful, but it’s always at least severely uncomfortable when it starts reopening and draining. it used to hurt just to sit, but i forget it even exists most of the time.

here’s my worry: i know that since it’s reoccurring, i’m going to have to get surgery sooner or later. i’m a pretty self conscious person who already has 3 scars from suddenly getting my appendix removed last year (pretty small incisions, but still). i’m not super educated on the surgery options, but which do you guys think would do the least amount of physical/ visual change on my body? i’m horrified of the possibility that my body may be permanently mutilated for this, but i really cant stand it any longer.
